Our practice is designed specifically to support clinicians who want a reliable, responsive psychiatric prescriber while they continue to manage therapy or medical care.

Our team is always applying to credential the provider with new insurance plans. If you are unsure if we accept an insurance plan call the office for information, we are happy to check your coverage, copays, and give you an estimate. Unfortunately we are unable to accept CCAH but we are credentialed with some Medi-Cal plans such as Santa Clara Family Health Plan.

To ensure clarity and appropriate referrals:

We Provide

  • Psychiatric diagnostic evaluations

  • Medication initiation when clinically appropriate

  • Psychotherapy or counseling

  • Crisis or emergency psychiatric services

  • On-demand prescribing

  • Long-term benzodiazepine initiation

  • Academic or neuropsychological testing

Prescribing Philosophy

Our prescribing approach is conservative, evidence-based, and safety-focused.

Important considerations:

  • Benzodiazepines are not first-line and are rarely initiated

  • Controlled substances require formal evaluation and ongoing monitoring

  • Medication decisions are based on diagnosis, safety, and clinical necessity

  • Antidepressants, mood stabilizers, antipsychotics, and non-stimulant options are prioritized when appropriate

Our goal is long-term symptom stability, not short-term symptom suppression.

Patients are informed of our scope, policies, and expectations prior to scheduling.

What Happens After Referral

Once a referral is made:

  1. The patient completes intake and consent forms

  2. A psychiatric evaluation is scheduled

  3. Medication recommendations are discussed with the patient

  4. Follow-up appointments are scheduled as clinically indicated

When appropriate and with patient consent, we are happy to coordinate care with the referring provider.​
